October 19, 2008
The Wolves took revenge on the Bunker Hill Minutemen for last year's win that knocked them out of contention for the playoffs. The Wolves made it clear to Bunker Hill that they would not let the Minutemen spoil their homecoming, as the handily defeated Bunker Hill 39-14.
The Wolves came out hot in the first half scoring 7 in the first quarter and 18 in the second. Junior Noah Gregurich scored first for the Wolves with a 15 yard touchdown pass from Dylan McKinnon. Sophomore Cody Clendenny sealed the deal with a good extra point kick. The Minutemen were unable to score in the first half.
The Wolves dominated the second quarter scoring three times! The first man to the endzone in the second quarter was sophomore Brian Black with an 18 yards TD pass from Dylan McKinnon. However, the kick failed. Evan Borrowman hauled in an 18 yard TD pass from McKinnon, scoring 6 more. The Wolves were unable to capitalize on the conversion. Going to their running weapon, McKinnon handed off to Keaton Baker who scampered for a 25 yard run. Again, the conversion failed.
During the second half, Bunker Hill scored once in each quarter, both times making the extra point kick. The Wolves saw Brian Black in the end zone on a 7 yard run and classmate Cody Clendenny made the extra-point kick. The Fourth quarter, the Wolves went to the air and connected with the duo of McKinnon and Borrowman for a 16 yard touchdown pass. Again, Clendenny made a good kick, leaving the score 39-14 in favor of the Wolves.
