Who or what inspired you to become a teacher?
Mrs. Winifred Motley. She taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, all in one classroom, at El Dara Grade School.
What was your most memorable moment while teaching?
“I have a lot of them. NO two days are alike!!”
What was your most embarrassing time while teaching?
Payton McKinnon brought in an egg case. It hatched and a gazillion praying mantis babies were everywhere!
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
“I like teaching 1st graders!”
What are some successful teaching practices?
In first grade, it's important to keep it simple. We have two rules: 1. Be Nice. 2. Work Hard. If they follow these two rules, they will be successful!
