Are you married?: Yes, to Keith Anderson.
Children: Daniel, age 24 and Emily, age 21
Hobbies: Camping, reading and shopping
Who or what inspired you to become a teacher?: In high school, I visited a state school for the mentally challenged and decided I wanted to teach the developmental disabled.
What was your most memorable moment while teaching?: Watching students I have taught for 4-5 years graduate from high school.
What was your most embarrassing time while teaching?: I have two of them. 1.) I fell down the stairs at the high school and broke my ankle. 2.) I was watching a class work on Homecoming skits and one of the students decided to moon myself and the rest of the class.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?: Helping students succeed and accomplish their goals especially in students where learning is difficult for them.

What are some successful disciplinary practices?: 1.) No talking until all students have finished their work. 2.) Get student's attention before giving instruction. 3.) Have clear and specific rules for your classroom. 4). Use a variety of cues to remind students of expected behavior. 5.) Keep students on task.
