October 25, 2008
Pleasant Hill High School received a generous donation from Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling in the form of a brand new sound system for the football field. Friday afternoon, Mike Post (right), a representative from Dot Foods Charaitable Giving Committee presented PHHS Principal Ron Edwards (left) and school board member Shari Borrowman (center) with a check for $4244 to purchase a brand new state of the art sound system for the Wolves football field. The Dot Foods Charaitable Giving Committee is made up of Dot Foods employees who donate money to local communities. The committee looks for three areas of interest when deciding on their scholarships: Health and wellness, community involvement and secondary education. Shari Borrowman applied for the grant which was brought to her attention by Dot employees and Wolves football parents, Dwayne and Stacy Ruble. The grant will be used to replace and upgrade the public address system at Harris Franklin Field in Pleasant Hill.
