Lady Wolves End PCC Tournament

The Lady Wolves began this year’s basketball season with PCC tournament action. The girls started off the season at home on November 17th with a 47-8 win over the Western Wildcats. The girls played again on November 21st losing to the tough Liberty Eagles, 58-33. The Lady Wolves turned around and played again on the November 22nd. The girls battled against the Brussels Lady Raiders, going into overtime once again, following last years tournament action. The girls finished strong with 58-50 win. The PCC continued into the next week as the Lady Wolves traveled to Brussels to play the Griggsville-Perry Eagles. The girls played hard but had a tough fall, losing 43-40. 

The tournament ended for the Lady Wolves on the 26th, when the girls traveled to Liberty. The Lady Wolves started off strong but hard a tough ending losing to Pittsfield Lady Saukees. Coach Shireman stated, “As a team we found out what we can do and what we need to improve on, I think the girls played hard but need to work on ball pressure as well as ball handling as a team and individually. The Girls finished the PCC with a 2-3 record. Macey Black, was named to the all tournament team.
