2009 Track Team Looking to Do Well This Season

This year’s 2009 track team is coached by Mike Giles and assistant coach Dave Young. There is an estimated 15 boys and 4 girls from Calhoun and 8 boys and 5 girls from Pleasant Hill to be on the track team. 

Mr. Giles is expecting great things from future Division 1 runner, senior Macey Black. He is also expecting great things from junior Noah Gregurich and sophomore Janessa Edwards. 

Giles also looks for sophomore Brian Black to excel this year. Sophomore Cory Graham is stronger and should score many points in discus this year. Skylar Knake, a junior is also stronger and will be a huge asset to the track team in the throwing division. 

Junior Jacob Garrison is to show good improvement this year he will be running the 400 meter dash.

The Black brother and sister duo have been ranked first in the 55 meter dash at the Jacksonville Indoor Meet scheduled for Friday, March 6.
