Wolves drop conference game to Saukees
April 02, 2009
On a particularly windy and cold March 31st day, the Wolves ventured to Pittsfield to compete against the Saukees varsity team in a conference baseball game. Evan Borrowman took the mound for the Wolves taking on what appeared to be a tough strike zone. The Wolves hurler continued to battle the Saukees with the help of his teammates.
However, the Saukee bats proved to be too much and with the additional help of the wind and a very soggy outfield, the Wolves struggled getting to balls that they would have normally caught.
The Wolves bats were quiet as they struggled trying to get any ducks on the pond. Brain Black made it on base and stole second but was unable to capitalize on the play. The Wolves fell to the Saukees 10-0. They will have a chance to redeem the lose when they play them at home on April 21st.
