PHHS students do well in PCC art show

May 17, 2009

Pleasant Hill Art students do well at Pike County Art Show in Liberty. Those schools who participated include: Western, Liberty, Pleasant Hill, and Griggsville-Perry. PHHS students who submitted art include: Shelby Johns, Rauof Al-Talla, Dana Johnston, Shelby Pruett, Dilon Simpkin, Justin Holman, Allie Wombles, Katelin John, Kyle Johnson. 

The art room has been very busy as Mrs.Campbell has been helping oversee students who have been working on their projects to get them ready for the show. 

A special thank you to Ms. Graham, who delivered the projects to Liberty High School.


PHHS students receiving awards include the following:


Painting on canvas – Kyle Johnson 1st place; Katelin Johns 1st place, Allie Wombles 2nd place; Dana Johnston 3rd place, Shelby Pruett 3rd.
3-D painting – Shelby Johns 3rd place.
Water color painting – None
Pastel – Justin Holman 2nd place
Pencil drawing – Rauof Al-Talla received 1st place and also two honorable mentions in this category.
