Ryan Lowe has been named the new principal at Pleasant Hill CUSD #3. Lowe acquired the position after the school board hired former principal Ron Edwards as the new superintendent for the district. This will be his first job in an administrative position and he is looking forward to getting to know the students. "I think that the kids at Pleasant Hill are good kids and I can't wait to get to work with them. I think it will be a fun and exciting year," said Lowe.
Lowe, a graduate of Pittsfield High School and MacMurry College, comes to Pleasant Hill from the Bowling Green, Missouri school district after serving as a PE/health teacher and football coach for the past 8 years. Lowe also coached track for three years while at Bowling Green High School. He received his Masters in Administration from William Woods University.
He and his wife, Emily, are the parents of three children, Mackenzie who is three and twin sons Bing and Brady who are almost one year old. He enjoys hunting, sports, running and spending time with his family. Lowe stated, "I am excited about the upcoming school year and can't wait to get it started."
Principal Lowe's office will be at the high school while Superintendent Edwards has moved to the grade school office that was formerly filled by retired Superintendent Don Peebles.
