Showcase 2010

Jailbreak

By Christy Riddle

May 05, 2010

Dr. H.Todd Evans' first year directing PHHS showcase proved to be no problem for the very talented musician and teacher.  Mr. Evans and the choral students did an excellent job of another showcase.  They were also joined by guitarist Bruce Turnbaugh who accompanied many songs.

The performance was also filled with lots of laughs as the duo of John Webster and Evan Borrowman returned as prisoner and news anchor.  The two were joined by Hunter Turner as a police officer who was on the look out for "Base Note Betty" throughout the evening.  Upperclassmen of Bethany Pulliam, Ami Davis, Evan Borrowman, John Webster, and Greg Shonhart again wowed the audience.  Andrew Morton, joined the seniors in his first showcase. Juniors Keirra Decamp, Kristina Buffington, Molly Turnbaugh, Megan Wells, Cassie Cathorall were also magnificent.  Sophomores Sarah Mowen, Lindsey Turner, Lauren Jones, and Josh Morton were great and will be ones to definitely look to for future showcases. Newcomers that were a great surprise were Zack White, Hunter Turner, Leah Cathorall, Desiree Smith. Carrie Johnston, and Audra Rascher.

The Class of 2010 will be greatly missed in Showcase, but there are many promising choral students coming behind to fill their shoes.
