On Saturday, March 2, Tara Dolbeare, Cubmaster, held the Boy and Cub Scouts' Pine Wood Derby at the elementary school. Scouts began check in at 3:00 p.m. with races starting about 4:00 p.m. Three cars placed 1st in three different preliminary races. Each of those cars were raced against each other in the finals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Overall winners for the event were 1st - Thorne Holcomb, 2nd - Carter Dolbeare, and 3rd - Justin Saurbeck.
The 1st and 2nd place winners will compete in the regional Pine Wood Derby held at Quincy Mall Sat. March 9th.
