Excitement in Kindergarten

October 17, 2013

When the temperature drops and the leaves start to change colors, Jenny Graham from University of Illinois makes her annual trip to the Kindergarten class.  She spoke to the students about pumpkins and the season.  Jenny also had an activity prepared for the class.

With only a plastic bag, milk, vanilla pudding, pumpkin filling, and graham crackers, the visitor taught the Kindergarten class how to make pumpkin pie!  As the students sampled their creation, she taught them about autumn and pumpkins.

Mrs. Picone's class has also been busy this month working on their numbers and letters during center time.  They practice writing their own names and the names of their peers.
