Student Council Christmas Party

February 04, 2015

As we all remember so well, there was no Christmas party last year due to misbehavior. Naturally, that means that this year we were overdue! The Christmas party, funded annually by Student Council, was a blast with all of the new and traditional activities!

This year, Student Council president and vice president bought door prizes ranging from bubble wrap to movies to locker decorations. Everyone who attended the party put their name in the drawing and a name was drawn every two minutes or so.

Activities and games were exciting this year as well! As per tradition, we held an energetic orange dance. Typically, there is an ugly sweater contest but a special costume called for a rule change. Noah Lippincott came to school dressed as Ole St. Nick himself! The contest became best Christmas attire and he won by a landslide, possibly because everyone wanted to be on the nice list. Tug-of-war also kept the school entertained when the rope snapped after the first mash-up. They quickly found a solution and started over, using a string of tinsel to determine the winner. Student Council even supplied the game of Twister which had students pointing and laughing from the bleachers.

All in all, it was a great way to end the year and an even better way to end school. Let's hope that there will be another party next year and it will be even better than the last!
