IDNR Presentation

March 28, 2017

Today, PHJH and PHHS students had a conservation presentation by IDNR representaive Isringhausen from Pere Marquette State Park.

Mr. Isringhausen tailored the presentation to each audience. The junior high students learned a lot about the different varieties of owls in our area as well as a little about Eagles and other species of animals. They also learned the proper way to cast for fish and different bait to use for different types of fish.

The high school students' presentation also included a little about owls and different species of animals in our area. But, his main objective was to teach about Eagles, their habitat, food and more. After the presentation, Mr. Isringhausen accompanied the Biology 2 class to a nearby Eagle's nest.

The students and staff are thankful to Mr. Isringhausen for giving such an informative presentation and to Mrs. Mary Barnes for having him come. Also, the BIO 2 class appreciated Larry & Karen Mooney giving them the opportunity to see an Eagle's nest.
