Wolves Weekly Update

October 18, 2017

It's a busy week at PHHS! Tuesday is the John Wood Community College Healthcare Expo in Quincy for juniors and seniors interested in health occupations. Students are leaving at 8:00 AM. Wednesday is the John Wood Community College Maker Fest (formerly the Manufacturing Expo) for sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in manufacturing occupations.

Chorus students are looking forward to the Pike County Choral Festival. Students will travel to Illinois College in Jacksonville to practice with a guest conductor during the day. The students will perform their numbers at a concert at 7:30  PM which is open to the public.

On the same day, juniors and seniors not attending the chorus festival will attend a college and career fair at Pittsfield High School. The college and career fair is a joint effort between the four Pike County high schools and is open to juniors and seniors from around the county.

Seniors have their annual Hobo Day on Thursday and Friday. They will be working around the community to raise money for their senior trip. The seniors would also like to thank the community members who supported their luncheon this past Saturday at the four-way stop.

In the world of sports at PHHS, varsity volleyball is participating in the Pike County Conference tournament in Griggsville this week, and Friday is the last home football game and senior night for our Wolves. The seniors football players and cheerleaders will be honored before the game.
