Another year is gone and a new one upon us. 2012 is here! Our holiday break is over and about half the school year. As of Jan 4th, we have 100 days of school left to complete. The weather in Western Illinois has been unseasonably warm so far in Jan. It surely will change soon. If and when the Jan./Feb. snow starts to fly, please remember to dress accordingly. A new physical education class will be added to the curriculum starting second semester. The class will be held 8th hour and will be called Advanced P.E. The purpose of the class it to give kids the chance to become more physically fit, prevent injuries, and to spark interest in all athletic programs. The Pleasant Hill High School Gymnasium is now equipped with speakers that will literally "rock the house." The gym is now home to 4 - Peavey Impulse speakers that are hung from the rafters. Charlie Dolbeare of Golden Road Productions came in and offered his expertise with hanging the speakers to get the right sound, volume, and movement.
