First Day of School for Students: Wednesday, August 18
- Teachers return Monday, August 16.
Start Time: 8:15 AM
- Please do not drop off students before 7:30 AM. There is not adequate supervision at the school prior to 7:30 AM.
Dismissal Time: 2:30 PM
- Explanation for 2:30 Dismissal: The 2:30 dismissal reflects a teacher preparation period at the end of the school day. Students at the jr. high and high school will be on a block schedule where they will have two classes before lunch and two classes after lunch (for a total of four classes each day). Each class meets for 84 minutes. Broken down, this would equal 42 minutes each day on a regular 7 or 8 period schedule. Students and teachers have reported that a block schedule seems less stressful while also allowing for more time in laboratory classes like science, foods, construction, and ag to have more time on experiments and projects in one class period.
- Pick-Up Procedures: The pick-up procedures for the elementary school will remain the same as last year. Parents and caregivers will remain in vehicles and advance through the bus circle to pick up students after the buses leave.
