At PHHS, we offer a mix of Family & Consumer Science classes.

Intro to FACS - This a year long class intended to be taken as a Freshman to learn all of what FACS has to offer. First quarter we learn about personal living space and decor as well as transportation options.  Second quarter is a focus on clothing choices, sewing and repair with a pillowcase sewing project.  Third quarter is all about food!  We complete 6 labs in this unit while learning the basics to cooking and food prep.  Then, last quarter we discuss child development and taking care of children.  We end the year with a personal look at goals and the future.
