FACS Club and SADD chapter sponsor Sadie Hawkins Dance

February 29 was not only leap day but was also the evening of our first-ever FACS Club/SADD chapter Sadie Hawkin's Sweetheart Dance at PHHS. FACS Club members joined together with students from SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) to hold a dance for PHHS students. Members of Ms. Guthrie's Family and Consumer Sciences classes spent Friday morning decorating the small gym for the event. Sophomore Raoff Al-Tall did a great job on the graffiti wall and Angie Amador and other PHHS students make some awesome table coverings for the tables. Josh Wombles provided music for the event that nearly 50 PHHS students attended. FACS Club members brought in food, snacks and drinks and everyone enjoyed a great time during the two and a half hour event. A special thanks goes out to Ms. Guthrie, our FACS Club sponsor, Peggy Johns, our SADD sponsor, Ms. Mooney and Mr. Edwards being our chaperones for the evening.
