FACS Club spends the weekend in "The Lou!"

Cardinal Game, The Arch, Soulard Market, Union Station

April 25, 2009

Nine members of the PHHS FACS Club attended the FACS Club trip to St. Louis this weekend (April 24-25). The group enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs on Friday night by a score of 4-3.

We had a great time eating at the Old Spaghetti Factory on Lacledes Landing and visiting the St. Louis Arch where the students took a trip to the top of the arch. After experience the Arch, we went to the game where we were able to watch batting practice, get autographs and enjoy the excitement of a Cardinal/Cubs rivalry.

Saturday morning, the group went to Soulard Market and the historic St. Louis Union Station to shop and eat lunch. They walked around in the old train station and spent time on the paddleboats while watching dancers perform during National Dance Week.

The group would like to thank Ms. Guthrie, our FACS (Family and Consumer Club) sponsor for this trip and also to Mrs. Riddle for going with us. Everyone had a great time!
