Wolves fall to Carrollton

The Wolves were defeated by a tough Carrollton Hawks team on Friday night. The Hawks, who flew into Pleasant Hill off a first-place finish in the Winchester Tournament, came to PHHS with one thing in mind, to win. The Wolves were determined to keep the scoring close, and did so until the third quarter which proved to be the nail in the coffin for the scrappy Wolves team.
Jacob Garrison and Dylan McKinnon led the Wolves scoring with 12 points each. Jake Yanczer managed to add eight points to the boards despite spending much of his time showing off his stellar passing skills. Noah Gregurich added six points along with teammates, Brian Black, Evan Borrowman, John Webster, and Avery Gregurich who each chipped in deuces for the Wolves.
The second and fourth quarters were good ones for PHHS with the scoring in the first being 25-11 in favor of Carrollton. The second quarter was good for Big Blue with them outscoring the Hawks 15-14. The third quarter saw a lot of Green action on the boards with the Hawks outscoring P.Hill 26-8. The Wolves tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the hill was too steep to climb as they were outscored 17-12 with the final tally being 82-46, which does not indicate how exciting the game was.
