Wolves drop game to CP-C 65-44

The Wolves traveled to Camp Point Friday to play the Panthers from Camp Point Central. The Wolves played a very physical game against a very physical team. The only thing CPC had that we do not is incredible size. The Wolves played a strong first quarter leading the Panthers 15-12 going into the second quarter. The dagger found the Wolves during the second quarter as the Panthers outscored Big Blue by 14 points in the second quarter.
Coach Benz rallied his team during half-time as the Wolves came out outscoring the Panthers 18-13 points in the third quarter. However, the Wolves could not get inside on the large Panther team and the three point shots just weren't falling in fast enough for our boys to catch up. The final score of the game was 65-44.
Dylan McKinnon led the Wolves in scoring with 15 points. Jake Yanczer added 9 points while teammates Evan Borrowman and Noah Gregurich each chipped in 7 points. Jacob Garrison, John Webster and Avery Gregurich helped out with two points each in the losing effort. The Wolves play in Calhoun Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.
