The Class of 2009 will be heading out to Pigeon Forge, Tennesse this Wednesday, April 29. The charter bus will load at the music room at 5:30 a.m. The bus leaves at 6 a.m. All seniors need to have their luggage at the high school in Mrs. Guthrie's room by Tuesday, April 28 to have it checked prior to loading on the bus.
There will be a mandatory meeting for all seniors and at least one parent/guardian at the cafeteria this Monday, April 27 to discuss the trip and determine what items need to be sent and get permission slips for white water rafting and helicopter rides. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. and should last no longer than 1/2 hour.
The group is looking forward to going to Dollywood on opening day, white water rafting one day, touring the Smokey Mountains and spending time together in their 25 person lodge that the rented for their four day stay.
Chaperones attending include: Ms. Guthrie, Ms. Campbell, Mr. Edwards and Mr. Young. Students may want to take DVD's with them to watch on the bus and at the lodge. The lodge/cabin they rented has a pool table, two big screen tvs, foosball, two hot tubs and shuffleboard. While visiting Pigeon Forge, they will also be going to Gatlinburg to see the sites and ride the skylift.
