The senior class of PHHS left on their Senior Trip today accompanied by five of their teachers. The group left Pleasant Hill Wednesday morning for Lambert Airport where they were to board a plane for Orlando, Florida. There was a great deal of anticipation and excitement in the air as the students checked in and received their boarding passes. After checking in at the airport, the students spent their time playing cards, talking on their cell phones, and listening to music while waiting to board the Air Tran flight. Once on the plane, the students anxiously awaited the take off which some compared to a ride on their favorite roller coaster. As the plane lifted into the air, there was a chorus of ooh’s and aah’s from the excited passengers. One student’s mouth dropped open in amazement at the speed of the take-off. Another student exclaimed, “This is the most awesomest thing I have ever done in my life!” All seemed to agree that the take off and the view from the air was awesome. After a two hour flight, the group touched down in Orlando. Once checked into the hotel, the students enjoyed an evening eating dinner, checking out Pointe Orlando, playing mini-golf, and lounging around the pool. The group is now looking forward to a day of fun in the sun at Cocoa Beach on Thursday.
