This years Spirit Week has started off with a BANG! Monday was Mardi Gras/Bling day and boy did we have some great costumes! In the Bling Category the sophomores came out on top with Griffin Hall in first and Pam Hurst in second. Katie Moore, a freshman new to Spirit Week this year, came in third. For the Mardi Gras portion, it was split pretty evenly with Senior Shelby Butricks taking first, Sophomore Kaleigh McKinnon in second, and Junior Ashley Holcomb in third. Tuesday was even better with Nerd/Backward day. There were so many great costumes the judges said it was almost too difficult to choose! For Backwards we had Junior Braden Gowey in first, Sophomore Seth Moyers in second, and Junior Ashley Holcomb in a close third. Then we had the Nerds. There were a ton of them and they all looked fantastic! But we could only have three winners. We got Senior Blake DeCamp in first, Junior Ty Pruitt in second, and Senior Dakota White in third. The rest of the week is definitely going to be interesting with Decade/Celebrity day, Class Color/Hat day, and School Spirit day!
We also have announced the King and Queen candidates and the attendants and escorts for Homecoming 2013. They are:
Homecoming Queen Candidates- Autumn Rodhouse, Shelby Butricks, Taylor Knight, Kennedy Moore, Madison Martin, Hailey McElfresh, and Jackie McConnell.
