It has been 25 years since our school
has had a homecoming of this magnitude! Everyone mark your
calendars for Oct. 9-11 in order to come back to the place we all
call "home"....PHHS!
This year's alumni homecoming "Wolf At Heart" will be
a great time for old classmates to gather and catch up on lost
friendships and remember their glory days at PHHS. Thursday night
will kick off with the traditional bonfire. Alumni encouraged to
come and watch the activities from the ag shop hillside. It is
still hot, still loud and still one of the best homecoming memories
for our students.
Friday, alumni will be able to enjoy the homecoming parade. We are wanting to have the quarterfinal football team members from 1978, 1981 and 1998 to ride on fire trucks in the parade. We would like for all homecoming queens to ride in the parade, as well.We are trying to get in touch with these people, so if anyone can help out, we would love to have your help and input.
Friday evening will kick off with pre-game festivities that will include the following: Recognition of former football players, football coaches, cheerleaders, and homecoming queens, as well as, the introduction of the 2008 Homecoming queen and her court. The Pleasant Hill/Western Wolves will host the Bunker Hill Minutemen for the homecoming game. Western's marching band will perform during half-time along with the parade of floats and royalty. There will be an alumni tent set up at the football field where we hope to have refreshments after the game. If anyone can help with this contact Leah Guthrie, Shari Borrowman, or Ron Edwards.
Saturday, we are having a dinner at the high school gym that will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a dance for alumni and anyone else who would like to attend. There will be a DJ playing music from all generations from the 1940's to the 1990 and up. We are hoping many of you will take this opportunity to plan mini-reunions with you classes and enjoy the DJ and the meal. After the dance is over at 10 p.m. there will be a gathering at Muddy Rivers Lodge until 1 a.m. or so.
If any alumni would like to provide entertainment for the
evening or for a portion of the evening, please contact anyone of
the committee members listed at the end of this article.
Also, the high school will be hosting tours of the school on
Thursday and Saturday. Watch the web site for future information
